T.S. Eliot once wrote that “April is the cruelest month.” Well, we beg to differ! April bestowed upon us a batch of videos that would make even the most jaded Modernist poet jealous.

Truth might be stranger than fiction, but it needs a better editor.
Hollywood Reporter among others have just broken the news that the hit HBO show Game of Thrones has been renewed for a forth season. This is hardly a surprise given its massive success so far and ever increasing fan base but it’s good to hear all the same.
As a note it’s worth pointing out that showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss are looking ever more likely to encounter the long predicted problem of the show overtaking the books. By my calculations based on the presumed finish point of season 3 they’ve got about another season and half of material left before the story becomes really patchy. As readers of the Song of Ice and Fire series will know books four and five are effectively just one giant book and I can see a lot of that material being compressed into one season. They’ll be some material left from book three they can use in season four but not enough for a full season arc and given their habits of dipping into later books if book six hasn’t been released this time next year they are going to face a real headache if season five gets green lit.
Still these are problems for the future and in the mean time the duo can allow themselves a pat on the back and be happy in the knowledge that many show runners would kill to face such a glorious dilemma.
